Thank you for your interest in our website. Protecting your personal data is important to us. Below we explain which data we collect when you use our website and how we handle it. We process your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG).

This privacy policy uses the terms of the GDPR as defined in Art. 4 GDPR.

4. Hosting and platform

Our website runs on the platform of Wix.com Ltd., Yunitsman 5 St, Tel Aviv, Israel ("Wix"). Wix provides the website and processes on our behalf the data generated by its use: server log files, contact form requests, your cookie choices and the delivery of images and videos.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Wix under Art. 28 GDPR. The transfer of your data to Israel is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision for Israel (Decision 2011/61/EU), which the Commission confirmed in January 2024. Where Wix uses sub-processors in other third countries, transfers are based on an applicable adequacy decision or on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure, stable and cost-efficient provision of our website.

5. Data processing when you visit our website

Each time you access our website, Wix processes the following data in server log files:

• date and time of the request
• name of the requested file
• referrer URL (page from which the file was requested)
• access status
• web browser and operating system used
• IP address of the requesting device
• amount of data transferred

We use this data to provide the website and to keep our systems secure and stable. We do not combine it with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log files are kept only as long as necessary for these purposes.

6. Contact form and email

If you contact us via the contact form, we process your details to handle your request. Required are your name, your email address, your message and your confirmation that you have taken note of this privacy policy. You may also provide your organisation and a phone number.

Your request is stored with Wix in our website's form and contact management. We also receive a notification by email. A field that is invisible to people helps us detect automated submissions; it does not collect any further data about you.

If you email us, we process the details in your message for the same purpose.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to entering into or performing a contract, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR otherwise. Our legitimate interest is to answer your request. We do not share your details with third parties without your consent, except with Wix as our processor (section 4). We delete your data once your request has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses cookies, small text files that your browser stores on your device. We use strictly necessary cookies on the basis of Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG; any related processing of personal data is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We set all other cookies only with your consent under Section 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

On your first visit, a cookie banner asks for your consent. You can accept, decline all non-essential cookies or choose individual categories. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page or the "Cookie Settings" button at the bottom left. Withdrawal applies to the future.

You can also manage and delete cookies in your browser. The browser vendors provide instructions in their help pages, for example Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Edge and Opera. If you block cookies entirely, some features of the website may not work.

8. Chat

You can send us a message via the "Chat" button. Your questions are first answered by an AI assistant; its replies are marked "AI assistant" in the chat. The assistant is provided by Wix as part of our website platform (Wix Smart Chat) and draws on the content of this website. The replies are generated automatically and may contain errors; they are not binding information and not an automated decision within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR. INTAC staff can take over the conversation.

We process the content of your messages and the time they were sent in order to answer your question. Messages are stored with Wix in our website's inbox; Wix processes them on our behalf to generate the AI replies (section 4). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR otherwise. Our legitimate interest lies in answering your request quickly. We delete the chat history once your request has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply. Please do not share confidential information in the chat.

9. Disclosure and recipients

We only disclose your personal data if

• you have expressly consented (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR),
• this is necessary to comply with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR),
• this is necessary to perform a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), or
• this is necessary to protect legitimate interests and your interests worthy of protection do not override them (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Service providers that process data on our behalf are bound by a contract under Art. 28 GDPR. For this website, this is primarily Wix (section 4).

10. Storage period

We store personal data only as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention periods. We then delete it.

11. Your rights

You have the right to

• access (Art. 15 GDPR),
• rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
• erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
• restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
• data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
• object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR),

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany, www.ldi.nrw.de.

12. Right to object

Where we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to this processing on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may object to processing for direct marketing purposes at any time without giving reasons.

Our profiles on LinkedIn and Facebook are included on this website as simple links only. Data is transferred to the respective provider only when you click such a link. Please refer to the providers' privacy notices for how they handle your data.

14. Fonts

The fonts on this website (IBM Plex Sans and IBM Plex Mono) are loaded from our own web server. No data is transferred to Google or other font providers.

15. Changes to this policy

We will update this privacy policy when legal requirements, our website or our services change. The current version applies.
